TIRUCHI, MAY 13. S. Twinkle of St. Joseph's Anglo-Indian Girls' Higher Secondary School here has secured 1,185 marks in the Plus-Two examinations. She has chosen Hindi as the first language. She secured centum in physics and chemistry, 199 in computer science and mathematics, 194 in English and 193 in Hindi. Twinkle wishes to take up B.Tech and specialise in computer science. "My target was 1,190 at the outset and did my best, with the utmost confidence." Motivation from family members and teachers, three hours of study in the morning and in the evening, and private tuition contributed to success, she said. Bargavee Venkat of the Savitri Vidyasala Hindu Girls' Higher Secondary School in the city scored centum in physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics. She obtained 199 in Sanskrit and 183 in English. Her aim is to become a biotechnologist and concentrate on research. Her parents, R. Venkatasubramanian, an auditor, and Vijaya Venkat, respect her choice of career, citing biotechnology as the current trend.
