It is God's mandate, says Rajnikant

CHENNAI, MAY 13. Actor Rajnikant has congratulated the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam-led Democratic Progressive Alliance for its resounding victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

In a press release issued on behalf of the actor, the head of the Fans Association, K. Sathyanarayana, quoted the actor's statement that a victory to the Pattali Makkal Katchi would not mean the defeat of Rajnikant and his fans. "It is God's mandate," he added.

Thanking the association, who worked against the PMK in all six constituencies where it contested, he advised them to concentrate on their daily routine in the interest of their families.
