NTPC unit synchronised
NEW DELHI,
MAY 14.
The National Thermal Power Corporation today said its fifth 500 MW unit at Talcher had been synchronised a year ahead of schedule. With this unit, Talcher station's installed capacity had been enhanced to 2,500 MW, a company statement said.
Commisssioned about 12 months ahead of schedule, the Orissa-based plant is the largest power station in the country and has the ultimate approved capacity of 3,000 MW coming from two stages, an NTPC statement said here today.
