Cuddalore
By Our Special Correspondent
CUDDALORE, MAY 14. The district unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has urged the Jayalalithaa Government that taking a cue from the adverse verdict against the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Bharatiya Janata Party combine in the parliamentary elections, it should give up those water projects that have the potential to turn the district into an arid land. In a statement released here, the district secretary of the party, S.Dhanasekaran, noted that the election results would teach a lesson to the `anti-people' AIADMK government. He pointed out that the poll outcome was a clear indication that the people preferred secularism to communalism.
