Rain likely in some areas

The city is in for a cool Saturday with the forecast pointing to a partly cloudy sky and chances of rain or thundershowers in some areas. The maximum temperature is likely to be 37 degree Celsius. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Friday were 36.1 and 24.6 degrees Celsius respectively. The relative humidity stood at 45 per cent while no rainfall was reported.

Literacy House camp for kids

The Literacy House, Andhra Mahila Sabha, is organising a five-day camp for children to bring about awareness about Telugu language, culture and traditions on its premises from May 17.

Seminar on handwriting

A seminar on `Handwriting analysis for improvement in grades' will be organised on Saturday under the aegis of My Mind Writing institute.

Two-day camp for children

The Prasanna Trust, city chapter, is organising a two-day camp for children in the age group of 11-16 years at Hotel Fortune Katriya from May 22. To be conducted by Swami Sukhabodhananda, the camp will help children develop study skills, goal setting, time management, memory, self-confidence, creativity, cultural values, multiple intelligence. Mock LAWCET on May 29

Ponugoti Madhava Rao Law College in L.B. Nagar will conduct a guidance and orientation course for LAWCET to be held on June 6. The course will commence on May 15 and continue till May 29. Yoga institute anniversary

The city-based Jeevantatva Yoga Samstha will celebrate its third anniversary on May 16 at NIAR in Somajiguda.

A seminar on yoga of different schools with the participation of experts in the morning session will underline the necessity of yoga for everybody in the present day stressful life. The evening session is set apart for consultations on diet and importance of Indian medicine followed by a public meeting with the Chief Secretary, Mohan Kanda, according to a press release.

`Yoga Milan' on May 16

The Dr. P. Tirumala Rao Institute of Yoga and Integrated Health Care will conduct `Yoga Milan' on May 16 from 9.30 a.m. as part of its special summer camp for children in collaboration with the State Department of Culture.

The programme will include a special parent counselling session, yoga dance and music display by children and mimicry by R.V. Subrahmanyam, according to a press release.
