TIRUCHI, MAY 15. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged an order for a compressor and drive motor package from the Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), Rourkela. Valued at around Rs. 94 crores, the package order has been placed for tonnage oxygen facility at SAIL's Rourkela plant. BHEL's work in the contract will involve design, manufacture, testing and supply of a nitrogen compressor, drive motor and associated auxiliaries, according to a BHEL release. The company has earlier supplied two air compressors for SAIL's plants at Rourkela, and has manufactured, supplied and commissioned over 300 centrifugal compressors for core sector industries.
