The Andhra Pradesh Human Right Forum, while hailing the new Government's decision to implement the Congress party's promise of providing free power, on Saturday said that it should take several other steps to ensure that the administration values democratic traditions.

They include scrapping of GO 90 which among others levies user charges, immediate taking up of Bheema and Sreeramsagar projects, stopping of encounter deaths and holding of discussions with naxalites, withdrawal of over 50 POTA cases and remitting the sentences of prisoners who have completed 15 years.
