He is not keen on CEO tag
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD,
MAY 15.
The Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, on Saturday made it clear that he would not prefer to call himself the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), something in which his predecessor, N. Chandrababu Naidu, took pride.
Participating in a meet-the-press programme organised by the APUWJ, Dr. Reddy said, "I have no such wish. A Government should not work like a private business enterprise. It should act as a medium to help the poor and the have-nots, even if it means a loss," he said.
He said he would also do away with the "huge spending" on publicity. "Unlike Mr. Naidu, we don't believe in publicity."
