Naidu re-elected TDLP leader

HYDERABAD,
MAY 15.
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, was today re-elected leader of the 47-member Telugu Desam Legislature Party in which capacity he automatically becomes the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly.
His name was proposed by Y. Ramakrishnudu and seconded by Ch. Rajeswara Rao and others at the legislature party meeting.
The meeting also elected the executive for the TDLP comprising the three deputy leaders, T. Devender Goud, N. Janardhan Reddy and K. Kala Venkat Rao, the three vice-presidents, Ch. Rajeswara Rao, S.V. Subba Reddy and Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, the four secretaries, E. Dayakar Rao, K. Subbarayudu, Padala Aruna and D. Nagender, the treasurer, G. Sayanna, and the executive members, Uma Madhava Reddy, R.P. Bhanj Deo and P. Sujatha.
P. Keshav was elected the lone party whip.
The TDP had four whips and a chief whip in the dissolved House.
