Pantani's death: four arrested

RIMINI (Italy): Police arrested four people for allegedly selling drugs to Tour de France winner Marco Pantani, who died in February from cocaine poisoning.

Police in Rimini, the Adriatic city where the cyclist died, said three men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of having sold Pantani the fatal dose.

The four will be questioned in jail, police said. Police added that the four were identified by tapping a telephone and through numbers stored on Pantani's mobile phone. The suspects allegedly supplied Pantini with cocaine on four occasions. — AP
