NEW DELHI, MAY 15. After two days of catching up on lost sleep, the Delhi police today took stock of several community policing initiatives and chalked out plans for taking them further. But not before the Police Commissioner, K.K. Paul, patted his men and officers on the back for their excellent performance in keeping the Lok Sabha polls relatively incident-free and peaceful. At a meeting in Police Headquarters here, Dr. Paul appreciated the ability of senior officers from the districts and other departments to motivate the lower level personnel for the tough task. Quick response and better intra-communication also helped the police to keep a tab on any potential situation. Dr. Paul has now asked his officers to concentrate on community policing. This would include liaison with the residents' welfare associations, servant and tenant verification.
