COIMBATORE, MAY 15. The Department of Biotechnology of the Government College of Technology will organise a two-week short-term training programme on `Current trends in genetic engineering', from May 17 to 28. Scientists and professors will deliver guest lectures on various subjects associated with genetic engineering, such as genomes, gene therapy, transgenic plants, mutagenesis and microbial fuel cells. Participants from institutes of engineering and technology all over the country will attend.
