Power shutdown

SIVAGANGA, MAY 16. There will be a power shutdown in some of the areas of Sivaganga district on May 18 and 22 due to maintenance works to be undertaken by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in its Sivaganga, Manamadurai, Karaikudiand Devakottai sub-stations as per the following schedule:

May 18: Sivaganga, Poovanthi, Okkur, Madagupatti, Arasanur and surrounding areas (between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.); Manamadurai. SIPCOT, Seikalathur, Kalkurichi, Rajagambeeram, Muthanendal, Tirupachethi and surrounding areas (between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.).

May 22: Karaikudi, Sriram Nagar, Kottaiyur and surrounding areas (9 a.m. and 3 p.m.); Devakottai, Veppankulam, Kannangudi, Mangalam and surrounding areas (9 a.m. and 3 p.m.).

Similarly, there will be no power supply in the following areas between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on May 18 owing to maintenance work at the Periyakulam sub-station:

Periyakulam, Kezhavadagarai, Thamaraikulam, Perumalpuram, Vadugapatti, Agamalai, Chinnur, Murugamalai, I. Pudukottai and near nearby areas.
