By Our Staff Reporter
GUNTUR, MAY 16. The compound wall of the Mandal Parishad school at Kantepudi in Sattenapalli mandal collapsed and the walls of the additional room cracked on Sunday in the gales in the early hours. The boundary wall was constructed three months ago under the Janmabhoomi scheme with an investment of Rs. 2 lakhs. The Panchayat Raj Assistant Engineer, Ravi Kumar, said that they were yet to assess the damage and would chalk out the action plan. The villagers expressed concern over the quality of construction and said unless it was declared safe for their children, they would not send them to the school after the vacations.
