Cloudy skies

CHENNAI, MAY 16. The sky will be generally cloudy on Monday with a possibility of a shower or thundershower in some areas.

On Sunday Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam recorded identical temperatures. The maximum temperature recorded at both places was 36.2 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature was 27.4. Humidity level stood at 72 and 69 per cent.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended in parts of Sowcarpet, Pantheon Road, Panjetty, Keelkattalai, Tambaram, S.K. Nagar, Kodungayur, Perungulathur and Tolgate between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday for maintenance work.

Medical camp

More than 220 patients were treated at the Narayana Seva medical camp organised by the Hindu Mission Hospital at Kalivandapattu in Guduvanchery yesterday.

Creativity camp

Rahnu Cartoon Research & Educational Trust will hold a creativity camp for those in the 6-18 age group at Krishnasamy Matriculation Higher Secondary School, 6th Main Road, Anna Nagar. The camp, which is scheduled to be held from May 18 to May 22, will cover aspects of basic drawing with special attention to landscapes, human faces, caricatures and animals. Free coaching

The School of Management at Rajalakshmi Engineering College is conducting a two-week free coaching programme for graduates appearing for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test 2004. The programme aims at preparing students by bringing them in contact with experts and personal interface. The course also focuses on study skills, reading skills, and personality development. Career counselling

The National Service Scheme wing of the University of Madras, with the aid of more than 25 psychologists, will conduct free career counselling for students who failed to clear 12th standard examinations.
