By Our Staff Reporter
GUNTUR, MAY 16. The B.Sc students of Acharya Nagarjuna University, who passed the Chemistry Paper-IV, after the answer paper valuation anomalies were brought to light by the Lok Satta in Guntur recently, thanked the organisation on Sunday for the efforts. A release from the Lok Satta said that the students expressed their concern over the attitude of the University authorities while dealing with students. The Lok Satta would continue to watch the valuation process of the university teachers for the benefit of the students said its secretary Konda Sivarami Reddy, and asked the Vice-Chancellor, L. Venugopal Reddy, to take action against the erring teachers, who marred students' careers. The valuation of answer papers should not depend on the moods of the lecturers, he said. It had asked 35 students to apply for re-valuation and expected 20 of them to pass in the examination, but only 17 were declared passed by the university. Three of the four students, whose papers were publicly re-valued has been declared passed.
