Assam girls crush J&K

BANGALORE, MAY 17. The Jammu & Kashmir girls suffered a humiliating 25-4 defeat at the hands of the Assam team on the second day of the National netball championships here on Monday. Assam got off to a swift start with goal scorer Paudutta bagging 12 points.

The boys' section saw Tamil Nadu get past Uttranchal 23-19. A flurry of goals in the second half saw Tamil Nadu through.

Boys: Delhi bt Madhya Pradesh 28-7, Tamil Nadu bt Uttranchal 23-19, Jammu & Kashmir bt Jharkand 16-15, Uttar Pradesh bt Andhra Pradesh 17-9, Karnataka bt Punjab 18-14, Orissa bt West Bengal 23-6, Goa bt Maharashtra 28-6, Andhra Pradesh bt West Bengal 21-12, Rajasthan bt Chandigarh 15-1, Haryana bt Chattisgarh 28-10, Karnataka bt DNH 19-6.

Girls: Goa bt DNH 17-1, Delhi bt Maharashtra 22-1, West Bengal bt Chandigarh 12-11, Uttar Pradesh bt DNH 38-1, Andhra Pradesh bt Goa 14-7, Haryana bt Gujrat 20-19, Karnataka bt Orissa 23-1, Assam bt J&K 25-4, Delhi bt Manipur 20-5.
