Polish film festival opened
Being organised by the Asian Academy of Film and television in collaboration with the Federation of Film Societies of India, the festival is part of the golden jubilee celebrations of Polish-Indian diplomatic relationship and would provide movie lovers the chance to see some of the best films of Polish cinema.
Fine show by Gurgaon school
According to a release issued by the school today, all 84 students who appeared for the examination have secured first division, with nearly 85 per cent of them achieving distinction. Nearly 25 students have secured an aggregate of above 90 per cent with two students securing 96 per cent. The Class X results were also equally good, with 103 of the 104 students who appeared for the examinations securing first division with 79 per cent of them achieving distinction. The highest aggregate scored is 96.6 per cent with 56 students securing aggregates above 80 per cent.
Textbooks distributed
Appreciating the efforts made by the Parishad for the upliftment of the backward sections of society for the past 29 years, Dr. Walia expressed satisfaction over the availability of socially enlightened individuals for providing service to those who badly need it. On the occasion, Dr. Walia honoured 12 meritorious students with silver medals and a handicapped student with the Subodh Chand Jain memorial award. The Parishad distributed textbooks, notebooks and stationery to more than 500 needy students.
