RAIPUR, MAY 18. The former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Congress leader, Ajit Jogi, today resigned from the Chhattisgarh Assembly following his election to the Lok Sabha. Mr. Jogi, who was an MLA from Marwahi (ST) Assembly constituency, has faxed his resignation letter to the Speaker, Prem Prakash Pandey, according to the Assembly secretary, Bhagwan Dev Israni. Mr. Jogi won from Mahasamund against the BJP nominee, V.C. Shukla, in the recent poll.
