BANGALORE, MAY 18. A city-based businessman was allegedly kidnapped, assaulted and robbed of Rs. 45,000 in cash and a mobile phone by three persons on May 11, according to the police. Ishayatullah Khan, a beedi trader, on Tuesday lodged a complaint with the Jayanagar Police that he had gone to 4th Block, Jayanagar on that day to meet Rizwan to get a gas cylinder fitted to his car. Rizwan and two others allegedly dragged Ishayatullah Khan into a car and drove away. They took Ishayatullah Khan to Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Vijayanagar and Nagarbhavi before abandoning him in the Majestic area that night. "They robbed me of Rs. 45,000 and a mobile phone," Ishayatullah Khan has said.
