NDTV makes debut on exchanges

MUMBAI, MAY 19. New Delhi Television Ltd. (NDTV) made its debut today on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange. The scrip, which was offered at Rs. 70, opened on the BSE at a 44 per cent premium at Rs. 101, scaled a high of Rs. 124.85, a low of Rs. 86.65 and closed the session at Rs. 99.4.

More than 66 lakh shares of NDTV were traded on the BSE and the turnover was Rs. 63.27 crores.

On the NSE, it opened at a high of Rs. 120 and closed at Rs. 98.5. Almost 1.3 crore shares changed hands and the turnover was Rs. 121.7 crores.

The initial public offering of the company opened for bidding on April 21 and closed on April 28 and was oversubscribed several times.
