Girl criminally assaulted

NEW DELHI,
MAY 19.
A 17-year-old girl was allegedly criminally assaulted by a 22-year-old man, who first eloped with her and then left her in custody of a friend, at Mayapuri in South-West Delhi. No arrests have been made in the case.
According to the police, the accused, Attar Singh of Rampura in Punjabi Bagh, had allegedly eloped with the girl about a month ago and used to live with her in a jhuggi cluster in Mayapuri. A month later, he fled from there and his friend, Raj Kumar, began living in the jhuggi along with the girl.
The girl managed to escape from the clutches of Raj Kumar on Sunday following which a case was registered. Mayapuri police are now trying to trace the accused in connection with the case.
