THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MAY 19. The medical college in Thrissur will soon be shifted to Mulankunnathukavu, where a building complex for it has already been constructed. Stating this after a meeting of the Cabinet here today, the Chief Minister, A. K. Antony, said the Government had also created 92 new posts of doctors and other staff members for the medical college. The college would be shifted as soon as the postings were made, he added. The Cabinet also decided to post V. Rajan as the director of the Regional Cancer Centre in Thiruvananthapuram. Dr. Rajan is presently the acting director of the institution. B. Ashokan, director of the Jalanidhi project, would be the new director of the Animal Husbandry Department. The Chief Minister said the Government had sanctioned an application submitted by the Parassinikkadavu Vishachikalsa Institute for starting B.Pharm. and B.Sc. Nursing courses.
