Plumber beaten to death

HYDERABAD, MAY 19. A plumber, Naveen (27), was beaten to death with a stick allegedly by a car driver, Baba (34), following a clash at Babanagar on Tuesday night. A resident of Banjara Hills, Naveen was consuming liquor with his friend, Md. Asif, also a car driver. Later, Asif's friend, Baba, too, joined them. After a while Baba and Naveen entered into an argument following which Naveen reportedly slapped him. Even as some locals tried to pacify Naveen, Baba picked up the stick and hit Naveen on his head and fled from the spot. Seeing Naveen collapse, Asif also took to his heels. He informed the police about the clash on Wednesday morning.
