VIJAYAWADA, MAY 20. Andhra Bank will open three new branches and install two new ATMs as part of its expansion programme in the city. The deputy general manager, N.Patel, said in a press release that new branches would be open at the Vijayawada Wholesale Commercial Complex, Gollapudi, Bhavanipuram and Siddartha Nagar and ATMs installed at Ramavarapadu cricle and Chennupati Service station. Keeping pace with the technological up-gradations in the banking industry, Andhra Bank would provide `cluster banking ' facility (anywhere banking) in Vijayawada zone within three months. The bank would also make advances against rent-receivable to landlords. The Vijayawada Zone has set for itself a target of mobilising Rs. 1,230 crores as deposits and sanction Rs. 635 crores as advances. Forty per cent of the advances had been earnmarked for the agricultural sector.
