dated May 22, 1954: Awards for films

The State awards for films instituted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, will take the form of gold and silver medals. The all-India State award for the best feature film and that for the best documentary film will be known as the "President's Gold Medal", and the regional State award for the best feature film in different linguistic groups will be known as the "President's Silver Medal". The all-India State award for the best children's film will be known as the "Prime Minister's Gold Medal."
