THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MAY 21. The Sarabhai Institute of Science and Technology (SIST), an institution set up by the Space Engineers' Welfare Society, at Uriakkode near Vellanad in Thiruvananthapuram district, has invited applications for admission under the management quota to the engineering degree courses set to start in the 2004-05 academic year. The All India Council for Technical Education has sanctioned the intake of 60 students each in the branches of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering as well as Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. Students who figure in the rank list published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, based on the common entrance test conducted last month, are eligible to apply. The management has announced certain concessions to a few students belonging to the economically weaker sections.
