FedEx's online tools for customers

BANGALORE: FedEx has announced three new information technology innovations designed to make the shipping of commodities easier and faster for customers. On its web site, FedEx has introduced two free of cost online tools, Fed Ex Insight and FedEx Global Trade Manager, which enable customers to track the status of shipping consignments. Global Trade Manager also provides an online consultancy on international customs regulations and online customs paperwork. Speaking in Bangalore on Friday, Jacques Creeten, Managing Director, FedEx, India, said, "The biggest delay currently facing shipments in India is customs clearance which takes an average of 14 days. The ability to access the correct documentation is a major step in improving the speed and error rate of commodity transportation."
