Cloudy sky forecast

The sky on Saturday is likely to be partly cloudy with maximum temperature expected to be 37 degree Celsius. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Friday were 36.9 degree Celsius and 23.8 degree Celsius respectively while relative humidity was 31 per cent. There was no rainfall.

Exchange of soiled notes

Canara Bank will be organising a programme to facilitate exchange of cut, mutilated and soiled notes and for distribution of coins at Mettuguda, Secunderabad branch, opposite Rail Kalyan, on Sunday.

Essay-writing contest

The 10-year-old One-World University Foundation Trust of Hyderabad will conduct an essay-writing contest in English and Telugu on `The emerging trends of One-World, championed by Ravindranath Tagore and the Italy-born Sonia Gandhi being accepted as the chairperson of the CPP supported by many parties.'

Those interested can send their essays before June 10 to the trust at 1122/E/4&5, Dayanand Nagar, opposite Andhra Mahila Sabha, Vidyanagar, Hyderabad. Prizes will be awarded at a function on July 10.

New DGM for SBI

M. Bhagavantha Rao has assumed office as the Deputy General Manager of the Hyderabad module of State Bank of India in place of Shriram Lele who has been transferred to the Recovery and Rehabilitation branch, Secunderabad.

Mr. Rao joined the bank as a probationary officer in 1977 and held posts like DGM and CFO, DGM (CB) and DGM Commercial Branch, Bhubaneswar, according to a press release.

Pension adalat

The 47th pension adalat of the A.P. Postal Circle for the half-year ending on June 30 will be held on June 29 from 11 a.m. in the office of the Chief Postmaster General, A.P. Circle, Dak Sadan, Abids.

The grievances of postal pensioners relating to pension, gratuity and allied matters can be sent to M. Lakshmaiah, Assistant Director (Admn.), O/o the Chief Postmaster General, A.P. Circle, Hyderabad-500 001 to reach on or before June 7, according to a press release.
