Pre-primary teachers' demand

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MAY 22. The Kerala Pre-Primary Teacher Training Certificate Holders Association has asked the Government to suspend the pre-primary teacher training course till at least some of the estimated 50,000 persons who have passed the course got employment.

The office-bearers of the Association said in a statement here today that it had raised mainly two complaints about the course — its high fees and the Malayalam medium certificate issued by the Government. The schools being started in Kerala were mostly in the English medium. Because of this, those who passed the course were not getting appointment in these schools.
