Two students drown

KOCHI, MAY 22. Two students drowned while angling in Kadambrayar at Brahmapuram near here this evening. The deceased have been identified as Ramesan (15), son of Gopi, who is an employee at the Sterling Gas, Karimugal, and Vijayakumar (17), son of M. Ilangovan. Ramesan's body is yet to be recovered. Fire force personnel fished out Vijayakumar's body.

Auction

The Customs Department here will auction various seized goods, including four foreign cars and 90 kg of saffron on May 27. According to Customs officials, two of the cars are Toyota MR-2 sports type. A large quantity of synthetic rags, a few containers, and electronic goods like computer motherboards are also to be auctioned. The auction will take place at the Customs House, Wellingdon Island. The public will be allowed to inspect the goods on May 25 and 26.
