HYDERABAD, MAY 22. The Government Junior Lecturers' Association, Government College Gazetted Teachers' Association, the A.P. Aided Degree College Lecturers' Association have hailed the appointment of Pinnamaneni Venkateshwara Rao as the Minister for Higher Education. In a statement here, M.V. Gona Reddy, S. Laxminaranayana, M. Yadagiri, S.D. Subba Reddy and Jalander Reddy, representatives of the associations thanked the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, for appointing a highly qualified person and who has rich experience in public service. They also hoped that the new Government would implement the Education Act 1/1982 in its true spirit to strengthen the higher education sector.
