Science and religion

Sir, — This refers to the article, "Calling India's freethinkers" (May 22). The author has rightly stressed the need to check the spreading ambiguity vis--vis modern science and Vedic knowledge.

Sir, — Even some eminent scientists equate modern scientific thought with Vedic spiritualism. The need of the hour is to popularise scientific ideas , particularly among the so-called educated section.
