Kavitha moves into sole lead

CHENNAI, MAY 23. J.E. Kavitha surged into the sole lead with 6.5 points at the end of the seventh round of the Jawahar Vidyalaya third Tamil Nadu State women under-25 chess championship for the Nivarthi Trophy, being organised by Sports Promotion Foundation at Ashok Nagar here.

In the men's section for the Annapradada Trophy, Ram S. Krishnan maintained his slender half point lead.
