Young Hyderabad is champion

HYDERABAD, MAY 23. Young Hyderabad emerged the champion in the B-Division hockey league championship defeating Lucky Club 2-1 in the final match at Gymkhana Grounds here on Sunday.

Centre-forward Syed Hussain gave Young Hyderabad early lead in the fourth minute of a fine solo effort. Lucky Club fought back well through centre-forward Syed Khaleel in the 38th minute to score the equaliser.

Right-out Syed Mehboob slotted the match-winner in the 53rd minute.
