KURNOOL, MAY. 24. The selection of constables started here on Monday under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police, V.R.K. Mohan Rao. A total of 2,581 men and 102 women were qualified in the preliminary screening test which include 5 km run for men and physical test for women. The SP said the selection was being done based on the merits of the candidates and asked the participants not to get carried away by the rumours spread by middlemen.
