Manmohan calls on Kalam

NEW DELHI, MAY 24. The Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, called on the President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, here this evening. This was the first meeting between the two leaders since Dr. Singh was sworn in as the Prime Minister on Saturday. During the 30-minute meeting, they discussed national and international matters, including the coming session of Parliament. Mr. Singh informed Mr. Kalam that the Cabinet had decided to request him to address both Houses of Parliament at 11 a.m. on June 7, the Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesman, S.M. Khan, said.
