Big win for SBT `A'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MAY 25. State Bank of Travancore `A' scored a 90-run win over Murugans Cricket Club in the Thiruvananthapuram District `A' division cricket league at the Medical College ground here on Tuesday.

Batting first, SBT aided by a strokeful knock of 93 by Jagadish posted a challenging total of 242 for seven in its allotted 45 overs. But in reply, MCC was pushed on the back foot by accurate spells from SBT spinners Santosh Karunakaran (four for 24) and Chandrasekhara (three for 26) and could only manage 152 for nine off 45 overs.

The scores: SBT `A' 242 for seven in 45 overs (Jagadish 93, Chandrasekhara 45, Suresh 33, Venkatesh three for 96) bt Murugans CC 152 for nine in 45 overs (Venkatesh 33, Santosh Karunakaran four for 24, Chandrasekhara three for 26).
