LUDHIANA, MAY 25. The Punjab Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh, today said that the Bhinder Committee, constituted to find out the various reasons for Congress Party's unsatisfactory performance in the recent Lok Sabha Elections in the State, would submit its report within two months and after receiving the report remedial measures would be taken for strengthening the prospects of party in State. Addressing a workers' rally organised by Manish Tiwari, a Congress candidate from Ludhiana constituency in the recent Parliamentary elections, he said that the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, set an example by declining the Prime Ministership despite getting the clear mandate and this step had brought her in the list of world level leaders, who had ever shown exemplary spirit of sacrifice and commitment towards their respective parties and nations. Capt Singh said his Government would not leave any stone unturned for the welfare and betterment for Punjabis, especially the younger generation. The Punjab Chief Minister expressed the hope that after the installation of Manmohan Singh-led United Progressive Alliance Government at the Centre, the State would definitely get its due in the form of similar industrial package, which was already granted to neighbouring states like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. He said he had already spoken to the Dr Manmohan Singh on a number of issues relating to farmers and industrialists of the state. UNI
