University of Kerala

College change: Applications have been invited from students who have cleared the first and second semesters in various engineering colleges in the State, to continue their studies in engineering colleges affiliated to the University of Kerala. Candidates can shift to only those colleges in the same category and having the same fee structure as the college in which they are studying at present. Applications should be sent to the registrar of the University of Kerala, through the Principal of the college where the candidate is studying at present, before June 8, along with the copy of the rank list of the 2003 entrance examination, the pro-forma available at the University of Kerala and a pay-in slip for Rs.100. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories should attach the certificate showing their caste.

Fellowship: Candidates who have cleared the Junior Research Fellowship examination (December 2003) of the University Grants Commission can apply for Junior Research Fellowship in the University of Kerala. During the first two years, the fellowship is Rs.8,000 a month and Rs.9,000, from the third year onwards. In addition to this students of science subjects will get an annual grant of Rs.12,000 and others, Rs.10,000. Applications should be sent to the Registrar, in the prescribed format, by June 30.

Workshop: A seminar for discussing changes in the curriculum for the M.Com course in the University of Kerala, will be held at the Department of Commerce from June 7 to 11. Postgraduate lecturers in Commerce who wish to participate in the seminar should contact the head of the Department of Commerce, through their respective college principals. Phone 2306422, extn. 366.

LLM: The provisional list of candidates eligible for the LLM scholarship for the year 2003-04 has been sent to the principals of law colleges. Those who have any complaints about the list should get in touch with the principals or with the head of the Department of Law, with proof, in a week's time.

BCA examination: Applications for the BCA examination scheduled to begin on June 14, can be submitted without fine till May 28 and with a fine of Rs.50, till May 31.
