Sir, — The news that the Marxist leader, Somnath Chatterjee, is set to become the Speaker of the 14th Lok Sabha is welcome. Such a forceful and distinguished Speaker is a gain for the Chair but a loss to the floor of the House as it will be missing a good orator.
