Sir, — Coalitions have come to stay. It is a welcome development because a coalition government is broad-based and respects the regional aspirations of the people in day-to-day governance.

Sir, — Coalitions may not be bad in themselves but a coalition which draws its strength from regional parties cannot be stable.
