Sangeetha scores quick win over Meena

COIMBATORE, MAY 26. Favourite M.R. Sangeetha of Chennai, playing the fifth board, scored a quick win over S. Meena Supriya of Layal Chess Academy while Safira Shanaz of Virudhunagar and Nabeela also worked their way to comfortable wins over their respective opponents in the first round of the 32nd Tamil Nadu State women chess championship at the Kumaraguru College of Technology campus here on Wednesday.

On the top board, Safira wasted no time in despatching Lalitha Raghavendran of Kancheepuram, while Nabeela made short work of Chennai girl D. Madhu.
