Upset win for Monalisa

KOLKATA, MAY 26. Fourth seed Snigdha Tyagi was the only casualty among the seeds as rest of the seeded players in the girls' section moved into the quarterfinals of AITA Talent Series (under-14) meet at the Serampore sub-divisional Tennis Club on Wednesday.

Unseeded Monalisa Saha beat Tyagi 6-0, 6-1, while third seed Arundhuti Basu defeated Mohor Mukherjee 6-0, 6-1 to move into the next round.

Top seeds, Snigdha Kapoor and Srestha Banerjee, got byes to the quarterfinals.

In the boys' section, top three seeds, including Ranjan Prasad and Mohammad Imran, got byes to the pre-quarterfinals.
