BANGALORE, MAY 26. The sequel to last year's McDowell's Signature celebrity golf tournament is taking shape and once again film stars, cricketers, sportsmen and CEOs are going to pitch in to raise funds for the CHAMPS Foundation.

This year's tournament will be played at the US Club in Mumbai on June 6.

Speaking at a media briefing at the Bangalore Golf Club here on Wednesday, G.R. Viswanath, former Test cricketer and presently ICC Match Referee, said, "I am happy to be participating in the tournament which raises money to help distressed sportspersons lead a dignified life post retirement.

"McDowell's has also arranged a celebrity cricket tournament at Kolkata and the sports fraternity salutes its contribution."

G.R. Viswanath added that his current golfing form was not too good.

Former Test cricketer Venkatesh Prasad on the other hand was happy that he was playing well and hoped to improve his handicap. Prasad has become quite a regular at the golf courses.
