COIMBATORE, MAY 26 . Three persons were arrested here today by the Variety Hall Road police for setting fire to a house on Okkaliyar Street. According to police, Satishkumar, Sathish and Sadasivam set ablaze, in the early hours today, the curtains and the front door of the house of Shorab Basha (25), employed at a footwear store. Police suspect the incident to be a fallout of alleged enmity between the gang and Mr. Basha. It may be recalled that Mr. Basha was a key witness in an important communal riots case of 1997 during which miscreants gutted the footwear store he was working for.
