Hutch's Hindi voice response service
NEW DELHI: Leading mobile company, Hutch, on Thursday launched its Hindi Voice Response Service for its subscribers in Delhi, a first of its kind in the country.
The voice-activated information service enables users to give voice commands for jokes or downloading ring tones and logos or seeking news and subsequently hear the response on their cellular handset using a single Voice Response number (123).
According to Rajiv Sawhney, Executive Director, Hutchison Essar, "We have customised the service to suit Indian accents. Voice Response was tested using 80,000 Indian voice samples before being finalised. The superior technology not only offers a friendly interface but also makes all information services available on a single number."
