Film Chamber to take action against Kunchakko Boban

By Our Staff Reporter

KOCHI, MAY 27. The Kerala Film Chamber of Commerce has decided to send a notice to the film actor, Kunchakko Boban, on the basis of complaints filed by two producers with the Film Chamber.

A meeting of the Film Chamber held here on Wednesday took the decision. The producers had complained that they had given him an advance amount for two films, said the Chamber general secretary, Jose C. Mundadan. The actor was asked to return the money paid by the producers or start working in the films.

The producers, Reji and Bose Varkey, had planned to start the work for their films this year. The shooting of the films could not be started, as the film industry came to a standstill following the standoff between the Film Chamber and the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA).

Meanwhile, a meeting of the Kerala Film Distributors' Association that was held here has decided to take action against Sargachitra Appachan, who has taken the distribution of the film `Vettam,' directed by Priyadarsan.
