CUDDAPAH, MAY 27. The EAMCET State first ranker in medicine, G. Surekha, of Tsundupalle mandal must be an inspiration to the students of the district and Rayalaseema region, said the Collector, Jayesh Ranjan, on Thursday. Surekha, who hails from a poor farmer's family, secured 559 marks out of 600 in SSC and went on to bag EAMCET laurel too, he said in a statement. She didn't lose heart even when her father passed away just before the exam, he remarked. The Collector recalled that a student of Pulivendula had secured the State first rank in the EAMCET medicine field last year.
