GUNTUR, MAY. 27. A 24-year-old youth, Nandigama Kiran Kumar, was allegedly murdered on the outskirts of Sattenapalli town past midnight by a group of five persons with knives and an axe. Kiran Kumar, who has a history sheet in Sattenapalli reportedly had a tiff with some people at Srinivasa Mahal theatre on Monday and one Mariya Das, who tried to stop them from quarrelling, was allegedly beaten up by Kiran and three others. On Wednesday night while Kiran was returning from Guntur, he was allegedly stopped by Mariya Das and Bujji along with four others at Nagarjuna Nagar and stabbed with knives and hit with an axe 13 times leading to Kiran's death. The CI, Subba Reddy, and the SI, N. Rama Rao, are investigating the case.
